Day Trip

Toledo

Compared to the other day trip I was impressed by the train station upon leaving the train. Even before arriving I can see the river and the library. I went in and walked around a bit and it was pretty quiet, though it is narrow. I also walked past a few castle walls and it looks nice.

Museo del Ejército

There is a lot of exhibits on the military here, I thought the weapons are interesting and how much decorations went into the weapons despite it not helping with functionality. The diorama of the parade is pretty nice.

Next I also visited the upper floors and the castle looks very nice. I saw that people are quite creative in trying to kill each other. I saw a duel pistol as well as an infographic on how chemistry back then was used for gunpowder. Once again I felt that I lack some history to fully appreciate the nuance, but the Muslim influence is surprising. One of the tents has some Muslim inspirations for example.

Along the Streets

As the city of swords damn there are a lot of swords. I was surprised by the sheer amount of swords that mimic popular characters and series though. Though it is a shame I can’t bring one back to my home nation, maybe in the future I will move here instead just to get some swords.

Don Quixote

There was a statue of Don Quixote in the front of the stairs, I thought it looks pretty neat. I took a picture with it just like a tourist. There are some other interesting things like the cave of Hercules, and the cathedral.

I thought the rivers are nice, it looks clear and the dam has a circular shape. As the sun sets I look at the sunset near the train station, the historical Milis are quite nice. This is one of the cities where I felt that there are still things to do.
